Benjamin Postlethwaite’s job is to make sure that the light in his lighthouse never goes out. One stormy night, he sees a ship, broken by the waves, with survivors clinging to a rock. This is his, and a little boy’s, story.
“This was an absolutely beautiful book. The wonderful illustrations by really portray the characters and the main character is absolutely relatable. Just like some other books by Michael Morpurgo, this is probably a good read for 9-10 year olds, however if you are older, you will possibly get slightly more out of it. It has a lovely message and was a very enjoyable read.”
